The song in this Churchill ‘visor’ advert is that of the 1989 hit ‘I Drove All Night’ recorded by American singer-songwriter Cyndi Lauper. The track was written and composed by American songwriters Billy Steinberg and Tom Kelly and originally intended for Roy Orbison. Despite him recording it in 1987 (the year before his death), it wasn’t released until 1992.
