This Tia Maria advert video features men and women from all walks of life demonstrating that we are all “One Of A Kind”. The Jamaican, coffee-based liqueur brand wants to celebrate the uniqueness and individuality of the human race and has certainly displayed the message well in this commercial.
The history of Tia Maria dates back to the 18th century with a fable that says a young Spanish girl was forced to flee Jamaica, along with the family plantation during a conflict She was accompanied by a sole servant who carried a bit of jewelry and the recipe for the family liqueur. In honor of the woman’s help, the girl named the liqueur “Tia Maria” (Spanish for “aunt Mary”). The liqueur which consists of coffee beans, Jamaican rum, vanilla, and sugar is now blended in Italy after the brand was sold to Illva Saronno in July 2009.
