This Vodafone Christmas 2018 advert video titled “Glide Through Christmas” features English actor and comedian Martin Freeman. He panics as his Aunty Sue arrives unannounced at a family gathering and he realises he hasn’t got her a Christmas present.
Luckily, thanks to Vodafone’s 4G network, a present is ordered and awkwardness is averted. Martin then goes to a nearby ice rink to express his joy in the form of some unbelievable ice skating moves.

The music in the Vodafone Christmas 2018 advert video is the 1964 rendition of Beautiful Dream by American singer-songwriter Roy Orbison. The song was written by American songwriter Stephen Foster who died in 1864. As a result, the song was published posthumously in March 1864. Beautiful Dreamer has been recorded by many other artists including Bing Crosby (1940) and Jim Reeves (1962).
