This ITV promotion video advert narrated by Sir Trevor McDonald takes viewers on a journey through key moments in British television history. The ITV newsreader and journalist begins with the 1960s through to 2019 featuring all manor of meaningful airings. These include gay pride demonstrations in the 1970s, Coronation Street’s Hayley Cropper appearing as the first transgender character in a British soap in 1998 and Lost Voice Guy winning Britain’s Got Talent in 2018. The campaign follows from the successful ‘Great Characters Make Great Drama‘ films. The message in this campaign is that “we are changed by what we see.
