This new advert video by Lacoste features a couple having an argument at home when the house begins to crumble and fall apart. As the building splits in two, it separates them. The woman turns around and decides to make a mends and jumps across to the other side. The advert called “Crocodile inside” signifies seeking the strength to overcome adversity.

The music in the Lacoste Crocodile Inside video is the 1950 popular French song “Hymne A L’amour” (Hymn to Love). The lyrics were written and performed by French vocalist and songwriter Edith Piaf with the music by French composer Marguerite Monnot. Monnot who was a pioneer in her field at the time wrote many of the songs for Piaf. The song was written to Piaf’s love of her life, the French boxer Marcel Cerdan who was killed in a plane crash on his way from Paris to New York in 1949.
