Kevin Bacon returns for another TV advert from EE this time promoting the potential of the new 5G technology which they offer. The commercial with the tagline “Who says you can’t?” takes us back to the 2019 FA Cup Final showing how a family can implement the technology. They watch the match at home via virtual reality as if being inside the stadium live. The ad shows Man City and Watford playing at wembly stadium with other family members streaming the spectacle live. Kevin Bacon concludes the ad by saying So real, you could swear you were there. This is 5G, now on the UKs number 1 network.
The music in the advert
Music: Bat Out of Hell (Instrumental) | Artist : Meat Loaf
The music in the EE 5G advert is a big band cover of the song “Bat Out Of Hell” famously performed by American singer-songwriter Meat Loaf. The song was written by American composer Jim Steinman and released in 1977 for Meat Loaf’s studio album of the same name. The single was not released until 1979 reaching number 1 in the UK Singles Chart. The track enjoyed better success in 1993 when it was re-released after the huge chart success of “I Would Do Anything For Love (But I Won’t Do That” for Meat Loaf. The original version is available on iTunes and Amazon Music.
