This Tesco advert celebrates 100 years of the supermarket by taking us down TV memory lane.
The TV campaign titled “Even more prices that take you back” begins with Anneka Rice taking on her usual Treasure Hunt task only this time through the aisles of Tesco. Next is British morning programme fitness instructor Mr Motivator. Tony Hart’s Morph & Chas also get a nod in the commercial as Morph beats his mischievous friend Chas at finding cheaper products. Tesco’s tagline in this advert is “celebrating 100 years of great value”.

The funky music in this Tesco’s 100 years advert is the 1978 hit “September” by American funk band Earth, Wind & Fire. The track was recorded during the sessions for their studio album I Am (released in 1979). “September” reached number three on the UK Singles Chart, number one on the US R&B chart and number eight on the US Billboard Hot 100.
