ITV promote their exclusive live coverage of the 2019 Rugby World Cup from Japan with this new advert trailer. The video is a mix of real people and animation. The trailer begins with rugby fans from all the home nations appearing to fall asleep and enter in to a dream-like video game. The Japanese style animation is full of action with rugby players competing against each other. Thankfully, the fans return from their dream state in time for the first kick off.
Coverage of the tournament will air live on ITV and ITV4 beginning on the 20th of September presented by Mark Pougatch and Jill Douglas. The final will be played in on the 2nd of November with live coverage direct from Yokohama, Japan.
The music in the trailer video
Music: GOKU | Artist : Jaden Smith
The music in ITV’s Rugby World Cup 2019 trailer advert is a song called ‘GOKU’ performed by American rapper and songwriter Jaden Smith (Son of Will Smith). The song was released in 2018 by Jaden and was inspired by the Japanese Anime series Dragon Ball Z. This all fits perfectly as a song for the Rugby World Cup in Japan.
The track was released the same time as Jaden’s mixtape ‘The Sunset Tapes: A Cool Tape Story’. However, this song did not actually feature on the album.
