This new advert for the Samsung Galaxy Note10 and Note10+ titled “Losing” shows a man in a desperate situation as his battery juice is failing.
“Losing work, losing your mind and losing control” says the commercial as it possibly has a pop at Apple given that this ad launched on the same day as Apple launched their new iPhone 11. The advert goes on to say switch to the Galaxy Note10, with 24-hour battery life.
The music in the advert
Music: In the Hall of the Mountain King | Artist : Edvard Grieg
The increasingly fast-paced classical music in the Samsung Galaxy Note10 advert is called “In the Hall of the Mountain King” by Norwegian composer Edvard Greg. The piece was composed in 1875 as incidental music for the sixth scene of act 2 in Henrik Ibsen’s 1867 play Peer Gynt.
This classical piece of music is instantly recognisable and has been used in popular culture many times over. However, few can actually name it as is often the case with popular pieces in this genre of music.
