The music in the advert
Music: Iko Iko | Artist : The Belle Stars
The music in the Samsung Galaxy Tab S6 2019 advert is a song called ‘Iko Iko’ which was originally written in 1953 by American R&B musician Sugar Boy and his Cane Cutters which failed to make the charts. The song which has been covered many times first became popular in 1965 by girl pop-group The Dixie Cups.
The version in this commercial however is the cover performed by female British pop band the Belle Stars in 1982 which famously featured as the soundtrack of the film Rain Man.
