This new TV advert from Amazon Prime promotes their premium, fast delivery, video and music service for 2019.
The commercial is set in a family home where everybody is frozen in time. The camera pans in to a boy’s bedroom with a handwritten sign stuck on the door saying ‘Band Practice’. We then see a still of a boy rocking it out on his electric guitar boasting spiky hair. Amazon highlight that he got hair gel by one-day delivery. Next we see a young boy enjoying his new drum kit and finally the ad concludes with a father sat on the sofa wearing his noise cancelling headphones oblivious to all the noise.
The music in the advert

The haunting vocal music in the new Amazon Prime Drum Kit advert is a cover of the classical opera song Ave Maria. The music was composed by Franz Schubert in 1825 as part of his Opus 52, a setting of seven songs from Walter Scott’s popular epic poem The Lady of the Lake. It became one of the Austrian composer’s most popular works which has been recorded many times by various singers. The version in this advert was recorded by Canadian soprano Maureen Batt and is available for download.
