This short film advert for Every Mind Matters, a major new mental health advert campaign was launched on 07 October 2019. The 3-minute commercial is part of a wider campaign by Public Health England and the NHS.
The campaign aims to support everyone to feel more confident in taking action to look after their mental health and well-being by promoting a range of self-care actions. In the advert we see close-up shots of various celebrities including cricketer Freddie Flintoff, actor Glenn Close and TV presenter Davina McCall.
This is a TV first with voice-overs provided by four members of the royal family. Viewers first hear the voices of prince’s William and Harry, followed by Princesses and Meghan and Kate. The Prince’s first state the many different mental health issued faced by millions of people across the country. Mid-way through the video, the princesses tell us how there is a new way to turn things around. More information can be found on the Every Mind Matters Website.
