Here is another of the Airbnb ‘made possible’ adverts which this time features a cover version of the song ‘Sweet Child O’ Mine’.
As with their other adverts in this series, in this commercial we see photo stills of two people travelling. This time it is a mum and daughter who are taking the chance to travel after four months of lockdown in Melbourne.
They chose to head to the coast to the Great Ocean Road. They stayed in Geanelle’s Dune House in Peterborough, Victoria and got to hear the waves crashing at night, take a dip and feel the sea breeze in their hair.
The advert concludes by saying “That special place. Made possible by hosts”.

The music in the Airbnb Sweet Child O’ mine advert is a cover version of the 1988 rock hit ‘Sweet Child O’ Mine’ by American hard rock band Guns N’ Roses. The song topped the US Billboard Hot 100 and number 6 in the UK Singles Chart. The track appeared on the band’s debut album Appetite for Destruction as the third single.
The cover version in the advert is performed by Swedish singer-songwriter Victoria Bergsman who’s known under the solo project name ‘Taken by Trees’.
