The theme tune to the Traces BBC One drama series. During the opening credits we hear a cover version of the 1964 song ‘Dont Be Misunderstood’ performed by American singer-songwriter Valerie Boussard.
The song was originally recorded in 1964 by American R&B Nina Simone and was also covered by English rock band The Animals in 1965.
Traces is airing on BBC One and iPlayer in January 2021, the Scottish crime thriller is set in Dundee and stars Molly Windsor as Emma Hedges. Emma is moving to Dundee to begin a new job as a lab technician.
