BMW have launched a new advert in 2021 for the BMW i3 All-Electric SUV. The ad features a couple out on a date night who make use of the BMW iX3’s built-in Amazon Alexa to play their favourite dance playlist.
When arriving home they as the voice-assistant to turn on the living room lights. Wanting to enjoy the moment, the man jokingly asks.. “Alex can you pause time?” as a voice-over says, let’s just enjoy the moment.

The music in the new BMW iX3 advert is a song called ‘Promises’ released in 2018 by English singer-songwriter Sam Smith and Scottish DJ and record producer Calvin Harris.
The song was co-written by the duo alongside Canadian singer-songwriter Jessie Reyez who provided additional vocals. ‘Promises’ enjoyed chart success reaching number 1 on the UK Singles Chart and US Billboard Dance/Mix Show Airplay Chart.
The track appears on Smith’s third studio album Love Goes (2020).
