ITV’s trailer for Long Lost Family 2021 marks the launch of a new series this year. With music by Lewis Capaldi in the background, the trailer shows viewers snippets of the upcoming documentary series.
The ad shows how reunited family members are coping, after being separated for years. The brand new series of Long Lost Family: What Happened Next starts airing from Monday 6th July on ITV and ITV Hub.

The music in the Long Lost Family: What Happened Next trailer is a song called “Someone You Loved” released by Scottish singer-songwriter Lewis Capaldi in 2018 as a download. The song was later included in Capaldi’s debut album, ‘Divinely Uninspired to a Hellish Extent’.
The song became a commercial success, peaking at number one on the UK Singles Chart and Irish Singles Chart. It also received an award for Song of the Year at the 2020 Brit Awards. Someone You Love eventually peaked on the US Billboard Hot 100 as well after its 24th week in the chart.
