This new 2023 Lancôme advert features a beautiful and inspiring cover version of the classic song “What a Wonderful World”. The advert introduces the new ‘La vie est belle’ campaign inviting every woman to join an authentic and collective anthem.
La vie est belle translates to “Life is beautiful” and features a diverse cast of women from different backgrounds, ages, and walks of life, each showcasing their unique style and personality.
The advert begins with a close-up of American actress Julia Roberts, setting the tone for the rest of the commercial. The camera then cuts to a series of shots of women of all ages and ethnicities, each expressing themselves through their makeup and personal style. From bold lip colours to glittery eye shadow, the women in the advert use makeup as a tool to express their individuality and creativity.
The cast of the Lancôme commercial includes a range of well-known actresses and models. As mentioned before, Julia Roberts opens the scene for the luxury fragrance brand. We then see Amanda Seyfried, who is known for her roles in films such as “Les Miserables” and “Mamma Mia.” She is followed by model, actress and influencer Zendaya. Next we see Spanish actress Penelope Cruz, Italian-American actress Isabella Rossellini, British and American actress, Lily Collins, South Korean model and actress Jung Hoyeonand Malian-French pop singer Aya Nakamura.
The ad concludes with a voice-over saying “Make life beautiful” as we see a close-up of the new Iris Absolu eau de parfum.
