Lloyds Bank have released a new advert in 2022 titled Drumbeat. The bank continues their “always by your side” campaign this being the first new commercial for two years.
The advert begins with a lady in her car hearing the “da da dum” of a drumbeat sound in the distance. Followed by a group of young cyclists and more people in a suburban area hearing the same noise.
The source of the sound is quickly realised as a team of black horses gallop through the residential area. They run across the suburban landscape, past school buses, through neighbourhood houses, and across park fields. For a moment, the horses stop and everything falls silent as they are greeted by a girl before galloping away again to the next location.
This ad is is designed to reflect Lloyds Bank’s continued commitment to businesses and the community. A voice-over says the now infamous tagline “At Lloyds Bank, we will always be by your side”.

The music in the 2022 Lloyds Bank Drumbeat advert is a song called “Giant” recorded in 2019 by Scottish DJ and record producer Calvin Harris with vocals by English singer-songwriter Rag’n’Bone Man.
“Giant” peaked at number two in the UK Singles Chart in 2019 and stayed their for five consecutive weeks. The track topped the charts in Belgium and Scotland and reached the top 10 all across Europe. The song features the lyrics in the chorus “I am giant. Stand up on my shoulders, tell me what you see”.
Giant was written jointly by Rag’n’Bone Man and Calvin Harris alongside Jamie Hartman and Troy Miller. Alongside its chart success the song enjoyed plenty of exposure throughout 2019 featuring live performance on the Graham Norton show and at the 2019 Brit Awards.
